Richard: As regards Riggs Bank porting, a couple of thoughts, if you don't mind. I am a local in the DC are and have watched Riggs for some time. While they appear to have avoided the hangman once, I'm not altogether certain that they are out of the woods. They have performed some heroics to get out from under their staggering debt, but their local loan market remains pretty flat. Further, all of the big brass who got them into a fix are still in their posts (ie, J. Albritton). I'll try to watch the numbers and any local news items, if you're interested, but i wouldn't be too wild to chase after Riggs at this time.......Grasshopper.
