CDG Digevents: Dr. William Lee on 'G3G' [CDG has recently rearanged the location of archived Digevents on their website. Fortunately they are still there. Revised URLs are furnished below] 'Global Third Generation Harmonized' CDMA Slide Set and Presentation: "3G3 and Its Future" cdg.org This is a superb 46 slide set that was used by wireless pioneer Dr. William C. Y. Lee in what I feel was the best CDG Digevent ever, back on February 18, 2000. The CDG Digevent archive is here: cdg.org Dr. Lee's actual Digevent webcast ('3G Technical Discussion') where he used these slides and described the evolution of the various CDMA standards, the failure to achieve a single converged CDMA standard, the harmonization initiative that followed, the Network to network interface (NNI) and "hooks and extensions", and differences between the standards, can be accessed here (bottom of page): cdg.org Related to this presentation is the original May 28th 1999 Operators Harmonization Group's (OHG) 3G3 Technical Framework Proposal which can be downloaded here: 3gpp.org "Theoretically" this proposal marked the beginning of the end of "The Virtual Holy Wars" and prepared the way for harmonization and the beginning of commercilization of 3G Mobile Wireless Telephony.
