Dear Maurice: How can you not have a nickname on this line yet? I spend all too much time with Kiwis here in the DC area. They of course are all here on government postings (non-embassy). At least they are not the World Bank crowd who was here 15 years ago and taught me how to get blotto at the World Bank cafeteria for $2.75 (post-Carter currency). You realize of course we would have all made a reasonable killing in the NZ dollar last year if our brokers here in the States wouldn't have sat around saying things like..."well that's pretty tough to buy, hey how about the Mark!" and sundry such comments like that. Now to the meat.....I have a theory the NZ is poised to benefit as Hong Kong goes under the rule of the proletarian dictatorship. The government folks here think I'm nuts, largely because they feel that your eyes are sharped wrong. I still feel that you entree to the world's free market has been so strong that it will serve as a magnet for English-speaking capital. Comments? Questions? Should I get back on my medication?........Grasshopper. PS...Where in the hell is TBG?
