$50 billion in damage will leave somebody holding the bag. Reinsurance companies?

Casualty insurers? Credit insurance companies? Underrinsured property owners? Lenders? State government?Deriviative counterparties? All of the above?

Florida real estate is going to lose it's appeal with these ripped up beaches and towns. Just leaving might be an option for some.

There is likely to be some major land use law changes rendering some areas undevelopable? Another round of last resort state hazard insurance?
