"LOL I guess that settles it doesn't it!"

No, Greg. The introductory line you just quoted (The great majority of the world is not Christian) did not settle it. My response to "settle it" went on for several paragraphs. Hint! When I am responding to a quote it may be generally considered as particular to that quote until I introduce the next one and begin responding to it! LOL!!

Thus, my response was as follows:

It is made clear by the bible that endless torture is a just form of punishment. The bible gives many examples of innocent people being killed and then sent to Hell for eternal torture as being evil. God often caused entire tribes to be brutally murdered and then tortured in Hell for eternity. Once He went so far as to murder everybody on the planet except for a sexual pervert and his family.

Your bible is almost entirely contradictory to all human standards of innocence. For instance, civilized countries believe that freedom of religion is a principle of justice. The bible considers it grounds for eternal torture. Your God would torture people that all civilized people would consider innocent.

Furthermore, I know of no civilized person who considers even the torture of guilty people for eternity as "justice". There has never be a tyrant or psychotic or serial killer who ever lived that ever imagined eternal suffering through torture as a "good" thing (unless perhaps you consider it "good"? Do you?).

But your God does only "good" things (how even saying that in mock argument makes my stomach turn---belch). So it follows that eternal torture is a "good" thing--SO "good", that even psychotics and deranged creatures incapable of conscience find it inconceivable to plumb such a depth.

"You are lying through your teeth"

Once again, you confuse juvenile insult for argument.

"I challenge you to produce an example where an innocent person is said to be sent to Hell"

My last post mentioned the millions of men, women, and children murdered by God in the flood. It also mentioned all the countless tribes who were exterminated to the last breath and sent to Hell....just because they were a different race or color--not because they were guilty of any crime.

Then again, it says in EXODUS 22:20

"He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed". This refers to the majority of the world who are not Christians...many of whom are innocent--many of whom are considered as great benefactors of humanity. Gandhi is one example of millions through history.

This capriciousness is again confirmed in 2 Chronicles: 15:13

"That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman"

In other words, it is not necessary to be guilty of anything to "deserve" being murdered and then to deserve eternal torture in Hell--it is only necessary that one think freely. Is freedom of religion (Freedom of Thought) a crime? Do you think that freedom of religion is a crime and that people who do not believe in the Israelite God should be murdered and then tortured in Hell?

In 2 Kings 17:26 those of differing religious beliefs (or simply unaware of the Israelite God) are murdered through the agency of lions:

"Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land."

Then there is John 3:18

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

It does not get any clearer than that. If you do not believe in Jesus you are condemned. Translation....you will be tortured for "eternity" in Hell--REGARDLESS OF HOW INNOCENT YOUR LIFE, HOW COMPASSIONATE YOUR HEART, HOW LOVING YOUR DEEDS.

And who will pretend to misunderstand that? Why indeed are Christians exhorted to "witness" to those of different beliefs. Why do they spread the "good news" all over the world? Two reasons: They believe they are buying their own salvation; and (to the point of our discussion), they believe that people are "UNSAVED"--regardless of how innocent they are--unless they swallow the brutal myths of one of the 10,000 or so Christian sects proselytizing their particular brand of judgment.

"Guilty people go to Hell but never innocent people"

Absolutely moronic comment. Especially since the bible has more evil examples of guilt than perhaps any book in history...and ironically (and sadly) it is the guilty who are often praised and tagged for "heaven" while the innocent (such as entire tribes of people (and at one time, the entire human race) were murdered and then tortured forever in Hell! How funny! Just the thing for some sheep too damn lazy to think an independent thought.

"you don't even know the difference between a horse and a donkey?"

I know one Hell of a lot more about them than you will ever know. I grew up with both on the farm, and I have ridden both. I regret that I have been forced to listen to the braying of asses from time to time who speak a rather horsy tongue while they limp on ONE leg.

"No; I consider it justice administered by a perfectly just judge who knows all the facts"

To call the murder of innocent people "just" and to further declare their eternal TORTURE as "just" is to display a separation from fair, decent, and honest people that leaves you a pariah from all civilized and human society.

You attack ME with your feeble and obtuse attacks, but you fail to understand (or you ignore) that ALL decent people in society consider torture to be the preference of the sadistic and the brutish and the ignorant. No human in history has been so unjust as your "God", and no human in history has murdered so prolifically. And how insane can a mind even be that will support the idea of ETERNAL torture because someone was born with freedom of thought and used it to choose beliefs he/she thought were reflective of reality...and furthering the goals of justice, equality, rights and freedoms?

It is easy to be mindless and choose a tyrant. The problem is that there are many tyrants...and they will always put filth in the minds of their sheep...and guns in their hooves.

So come back with your moronic responses and basic insults. Unfortunately this is a one person argument and debate where I must take both parts while you practice your spit and stutter. So it was written.
