That statement you were responding to was contained in a statement provided by Orch. Who by the way has contributed more than one gay bashing posts and claims to be concervative. It looks like he was quoting someone with the 'akafoobar' persona. I haven't seen that pesona on SI before today. akafoobar had posted his views as christian perspectives to Geodo00. I am not a christian and doubt that I would agree with that perspective even if I were. I have noticed that in your zeal to be seen on the correct side you frequently err on the side of loyalty and fail on the side of honorability. Message 21067779 Aside from not being a christian I have my perspective on the Bible and Christianity which is favorable to them. The Bible seems to do a very good job of documenting the human condition in this temporal existence. It delivers a description of the human strengths and frailties and exposes what the corrupt can expect in their experience. It seems to be correct about that which lends credibility to the document. I can confirm some of that based on my limited exposure to temporal existence. The attractive things that we are warned about really do tend to bring hardship if we indulge in them. Gluttons become ill of health, lasciviousness brings unwelcome social struggles etc. It is a doctrine addressed to the believers not unbelievers. It mentions all those dos and don'ts and explains what we can look forward to in our particular experience because the conditions exist in every community. My perspective is that it is not a sin to be homosexual. It doesn't matter to me whether a person is homosexual because of genetics, environmental conditioning, or for some unknown reason. The fact is if you are gay, you are gay period and that means that you are truly attracted to sexual partners of the same sex. It is not a sin to be heterosexual either, however you can do many awful things in the practice of heterosexuality. Gays sometimes don't like to hear that this is also true of them ... Still got your ears plugged?
