Hello Tech:

As I mentioned a couple of posts back, this topic came up about a year
or so ago. As I recall a gentlman named Chuck LI had contacted WFR when there was a reported polysilicon shortage. I believe Chuck
actually talked with then CEO Roger McDaniel, but would have to go way
back to make certain. I ended up typing a few various paragraphs from the IPO prospectus, and giving page references. It was never made
"crystal clear" (pun intended <g>), if Huels had a non-public wholly
owned subsidiary that was producing either polysilicon or materials
essential for that production.

You are definitely correct on the Italian matter. That was the sole
"in-house" MEMC supplier prior to the acquisition. (Not news to you,
but that is documented.) Any additional information Scotsman or anyone
else has would be appreciated.

Regards,
Doug
