Elmer, Yes my quotes show Intel's yield is so bad that they need significant additional capacity. Please reread this remark: Also additional capacity is said to be necessary after "a prolonged period of capacity tightness" (p4). Message 21246840 Please also note that:
- "capacity tightness" refers to production of processors among the more relevant things, the kind that are produced at 90nm and on 300mm wafers.
- "(p4)" in that quote refers to page 4 of the report DDB_WO posted to which the linked post is a reply.

Re to your remark: Where have I claimed or implied that [Intel might make a profit on flash]?

Retorical question. Try again.

Regards,

Rink
