The appeal of socialism is that people are "too busy" to take care of themselves, so they need the government to do it for them? LOL. That's brilliant! But wait, there's more. Follow that conversation to these economic insights from granny: Message 21259603 "One issue that has not been addressed is that the U.S. is so debt ridden now thanks to Bush that the Asians are threatening to stop investing in dollars." So, the Asians are threatening to withhold their products from the US market? How does she think they end up holding so many dollars to begin with? "If that happens on a large scale, our currency will become almost worthless, and other cataclysmic financial events will occur." Let's see, they stop selling stuff to us, their economies go into the dumper, people and plants sit idle, asset values plummet, all to spite Bush. Yeah, that makes sense.
