Re: We can end this disagreement simply by you showing me where it says the Madrid police accuse ETA of doing the job. After all, the former Prime Minister lost his job over making that misquote.

LOL... Frankly, who cares about what Spanish cops have to say about the Madrid bombings? Their job consisted basically of trumping up a coverup that fitted the government's theory... And by "government" I don't mean merely the party in power at the time (Aznar's Partido Popular), I mean the nexus of Spanish ruling elites that somehow coerced PM Aznar to backtrack.... Anyway, below is the clue to my conviction that ETA perpetrated the Madrid bombings:

Former Spain PM José Maria Aznar is still unrepentant in his opinion that ETA did it, hence his absence from the event's anniversary ceremony on March 11, 2005. Aznar was giving a speech in a Mexican university on that day. And so is his friend Silvio Berlusconi who, on the first Monday following 311, publicly endorsed then-PM Aznar's ETA theory. Berlusconi's endorsement was not a gratuitous utterance nor was it a shameless coverup. With Italian troops --and lives-- at stake in Iraq, Berlusconi was in earnest.

Besides, as regards the London bombings, their timing itself is a giveaway. Indeed, how come the alleged Islamists who bombed London's subway didn't choose May 4th, 2005 instead of July 7th --that is, the eve of Britain's last general election? It would have made more sense, would it not? Clue:

Shock win for Galloway in London

The Respect Party's George Galloway has taken the Labour safe seat of Bethnal Green & Bow in east London.

Oona King was deposed as the MP after former Labour MP Mr Galloway forced a 26.2% swing in his favour, following a bitterly fought campaign.

Mr Galloway, who attacked Tony Blair in his acceptance speech, fought on an anti-Iraq war manifesto that appealed to the large local Muslim population.

Ms King was one of Tony Blair's most loyal supporters and backed the war.

Taking to the podium after his victory was announced, Mr Galloway said: "Mr Blair, this defeat is for Iraq and the other defeats that New Labour has received this evening are for Iraq.

"All the people you have killed and all the loss of life have come back to haunt you and the best thing that the Labour Party can do is sack you tomorrow morning."
