For me to have written that post (link below) and support medically and scientifically each and every concept that was a building block of making it would have reduced the efficacy of the attempt. It is an outline for what I saw as truth.

The leg has enough sensors to feel this and move by itself

I don't want to spend too much time on this but I'll give you an example of what I mean based on the incorrect quote I just put up above. "A reflex is a simple nerve circuit. A stimulus, such as a light tap with a rubber hammer, causes sensory neurons (nerve cells) to send signals to the spinal cord." Here, the signals are conveyed both to the brain and to nerves that control muscles affected by the stimulus. So even if the reflex occurs without the brain the leg is still not an individual as it is totally reliant on the nervous system to complete the circuit and it is for sure not a seperate human being (which is the essence of the whole debate). It would be almost silly and we can go on forever if we continue this route. If I tap the mother's leg and the babies leg jerks then maybe we have something we can talk about. Notice I said "mother's leg" and "babies leg". We can all agree that when you go to the doctor and he taps your leg end it kicks it is still in fact "your leg" and a does not suddenly now have the "right to vote" separately fron yourself since you define mechanical reflex as an individualistic.

Perhaps the following way of saying it will be easier to understand and allow us to go to the next pseudo filibuster.

"It seems to me that the largest part of being a seperate and individual human being is the ability to sense things individually fom other human beings".
