Wrongo. I am very precise in the use of words and everything I stated is true and verifiable.

ex:
1)America Offline's churn rate is now up to 50%. More cancel
after free trial without buying even a month.

Two distinct statements are made.

a) Churn rate - this has been going up dramatically, but according to an AOL official it improved in the last month. Even if that is true, it does NOT refute my statement as you seem to contend. Further, one month is hardly a trend reversal in any case.

b) More cancel after free trial without buying even a month.

''Conversion from trial (use) has declined markedly,'' said Cowen & Co. analyst Jeff Goverman in a research note. He notes that the costs associated with subscribers not converting have contributed to the increase in the gross marketing cost of a net new subscriber to an estimated $240 in June from $67 a year ago."

- WSJ Dow Jones News Service -- August 9, 1996 America Online Shrs Fall On Subscriber Growth Worries By Carmen Fleetwood

There is nothing in any of the articles which contend the conversion figures have even stabilized, much less reversed.

{Cowen & Company has been the firm closest to the mark concerning AOL's waning fortunes.}

As to the rest of what you wrote, it doesn't speak to what I wrote and is really too nonsensical to contend with in any serious way.

- BTW, don't you just love the way AOL tried to shift the blame for its outage to a router company. Yet today we learn that AOL was actually responsible since it had disabled the diagnostic equipment that would have detected the reconfiguration.

Just who was responsible for the erroneous stock quotes AOL was providing in July? Who did they try to shift blame to then?

I suspect that serious businesses with AOL accounts will be seeking reliable alternatives.
