r-e - my comments on the MacLellan article: Message 21978105 Also, I have found that having a balanced portfolio of precious metals, base metals and energy has enabled me to rack up about a 20% gain this year. Not astronomic, but it beats all of the major market indices. By the way, if I had gone 100% into silver bullion on January 1st, then I would have done better, but I am unwilling to implement that type of approach.
