This is bizarre. You haven't posted anything that appears controversial at all, so far as I can tell. I haven't heard of this happening on other threads with the exception of the Pluvia v. Westergaard affair where "Steve Pluvia" posted a number of items that were disparaging about a company, and the company diputed the accuracy of the posts. Here it doesn't sound like they dispute the accuracy of your posts, rather they think they are all too accurate. My best guess is that they are behind at 300mm, and are getting paranoid about it, but I don't see what the big deal is since they are clearly still in an experimental stage at 300mm. So far as I know, there are no 300mm production fabs in existance, so why should anyone expect WFR to have production wafers ready?

I personally don't choose to use a fictitious name. I personally am skeptical of all posts that come from people with fictitious names, especially where they appear controversial or portentially mis-leading. I can imagine instances where a person is posting company secrets, or where a person is posting defamatory material, in which cases I could understand a company trying to locate the poster. But I am more than a bit surprised that your posts would be of interest to WFR. Furthermore if business is going well for them they would be too busy to waste time bothering you, so this is not a good indicator if you ask me, but rather an indicator that they have too much time on their hands.

Good luck,

Carl
