Globe and Mail Update Monday, May 08, 2006 Shell Canada Ltd. on Monday agreed to buy BlackRock Ventures Inc. for $2.4-billion in cash to boost oil production. The cash offer is for $24 a share, a 27-per-cent premium over Friday's closing price.
