Alas, you caught me trying to sneak a one word opus into the once-grand edifice of GOOFi. I thought of it as... tossing a rock into the water to see what it would stir up.

Chris Colon... I wonder if he's jealous of Amerigo Vespucci. After all, ol' Chris goes to the trouble of braving destruction by finding the New World, and Amerigo goes and gets it all named for himself by just drawing a map. Go figure. There is no justice.

Columbus may also have discovered the barbacoa. The local Carib Indians claimed to have been barbecued by their neighbors, the Canibs, who were also said to have the snouts of dogs. The Canibs, who gave us "cannibal", either died out from the smallpox or evolved into normal people since there are very few dogfaced natives dining on human meat in the Caribbean, although the Bermuda Triangle may be a cover story to hide the gruesome truth. I'd be careful sailing there, if I were you. Take some pepper spray to ward them off, and garlic.
