Regarding PBG and THAI.
First, I have not studied the patents that some value so highly: but have these been registered in countries such as Venezuela? Further, it is one thing to enforce a patent in Canada it is another to enforce it in another jurisdiction. I happen to have filed patents in various countries and have been surprised at the arbitrary way in which the US declined to allow them whereas other jurisdictions have allowed them to be registered.
Second, I recollect reading somewhere that even controlled combustion underground can generate contaminants, such as phenols etc. I am unsure of my ground here but if this is remotely true one can envisage concern amongst NGOs. I doubt that this combustion is truly controlled.
Thirdly, one wonders what is the future value of PBG's (and CLL's) oil and gas interest in South America. One might anticipate that some form of revised revenue sharing would be a popular outcome: those who quote Coxe with approval should be discounting South American assets
I hold PBG (and CLL), but remain sceptical that THAI will be the HUGE crock of gold that some foresee. Sober DD is more than reading company blurb.
