Something will eventually have to give in the American SW because of the dramatic reduction in the aquifers that supply a good deal of the water. My thought is that American Governments and companies will pay Mexico to set up desalinization plants for seawater in Baja California powered by nuclear energy with the result being shared with Mexico and pumped North and East.
