Betty, not your style to fly off the handle like that. Sorry if I touched a raw nerve. Let's look at what I said in full:

Did he trash the stock or was he the first to warn you folks about what might happen when the Cygnet--->WSClearing--->Axelrod shares hit the market? Think of all the money you could have saved/made if only you had done some of your own digging when he first started posting on AOL. Even if you waited for confirmation (e.g. Axelrod's first filing) you could have gotten out at $15-$16. Oh well, live and learn.

Now where does it say that I think people should trade on rumors? I said people should have used it as an opportunity to do some of their own research. Included in that research should have been a phone call to Patty Gomez at the LA office of the SEC. As far as I can tell I was the first that took the time to track her down and talk to her. She confirmed some of what DntWstMyTm had posted. Enough to make me feel pretty good about being short.

I also said that even if he had waited until Axelrod had done his first filing he could have saved himself mucho heartache. That would not have been trading on rumours, that would have been trading on facts.

More from your post:

If you're trying to be smug about your trading on "the rumors" then I would submit to you that you could only be so because you were privy to the inside information or were just damn lucky....In either case,
doesn't speak too well of either your ethics or your investment style.

Let's dispell that myth ASAP. Knowing the size of someone else's position is not considered "inside information". Positions over 5% are reportable but the individual accounts at Cygnet didn't have 5% postions at the time they hit the wall.

Only after it became clear that the margin deficiencies could not be cured did the accounts get consolidated into a reportable postion.

I am under the impression that much of the information DntWstMyTm got his hands on was available to the public at the US Bankruptcy Court in LA.

For the record I had never heard of any of the scam artists involved with manipulating RACE's stock price on the upside before I saw them mentioned on AOL. Many here don't like to talk about the upside manipulation because it helped suck them into this stock. Tough to admit that you've been had. Hey I've been there myself. No fun being the one left holding the bag when the maipulators hit the road.

I've never given you reason to question my ethics. Guess I caught you on a bad day.

Hopefully, those individuals may come back once they know the Axelrod distribution has been completed and enjoy making back some of that dough. Poetic justice, indeed!

That's one of the reasons I'm not yet excited about reinitiating my short position. I hope to sell some shares to those "I'm just waiting for Axelrod to finish up" folks at somewhat higher prices. Unless, of course, RACE surprises me and starts to report some significant sales.

PS - FYI, "significant" to me would be something north of $2 million in BT sales in any of the next two quarters.
