Dear Valley Girl,

I am not underestimating Peoplesoft. They are an excellent
company, however the fact is SAP is winning the lions share of the
contracts. Yes I agree R/3 has some outdated technology in it. Basically it is R/2 with a prettier front end. But take a look at who
their winning as customers. The best technology dosen't always win out. Sometimes its based on who markets their company and products
better. By the way I neither own Peoplesoft or SAP stock. Both of
these companies stocks are a little overpriced. While I agree that these companies as well as many others will continue to see amazing growth over the next decade a P/E as high as Peoplesoft's dosen't
warrant it. Some retired couple could wind up putting all their
money into a company like this and get wiped out overnight. Another
thing you need to take a look into is how many staff per project is
required. Most of these companies cannot train their staff quick enough to meet customer demand. This will cause problem as some companies may put off orders until they feel comfortable with the
consultants they are dealing with. By the way it sound as if you may
work for Peoplesoft, or Oracle.

Cheers for now....M. Leibo
