Hi Robert!

Surely, there will have to be some takeovers. I have also heard about Rockwell and Cirrus. Is semi-conductors Rockwell's only business?
I thought it was a very large diversified firm. I didn't even know they made semiconductors.

CS First Boston covers MEMC closely or at least more closely than other analysts. You mentioned in your last note that First Call expected growth in 1997 to be around 14%. I wonder if this has to do with the economic slowdown that everyone has predicted.

I heard on the news the other night that France has an unemployment rate of 11%. That is very high! I wonder how the rest of Europe is doing.

In general, I do not intend to add to any of my positions in the semi-conductors. I have kept my shares in Intel.
