The EZ management authority said that to date, the prospect of improved transport had attracted several projects worth of millions of dollar to the zone, which was established just last year.

The 12,000-ha EZ was developed to house industries including agricultural processing, forestry and aquatic products, construction materials manufacturing, seaport logistics, petro-chemistry, manufacturing electronic goods and electric materials; textiles, garments and footwear for export.
