No doubt U.S. conservatives will use this statement as evidence that NASA is dangerously liberal or worse, communist and should therefore have their funding cut so that further tax cuts can be made for the SUV industry. As my brother is fond of saying, the inability of the population at large to think both logically and for themselves is proof positive that the education system is a dismal failure. Either that, or humans are on average 10 to 20 points shy of an IQ that ensures that the population does not commit slow but certain suicide.
