[Farmers Kid] John on the same note There were two golfers who teed up on an unfamiliar course. The first golfer hit a bad hook, the other hit a bad slice. The hooker, Bob,(another joke) was looking for his ball amoung the flowers and finally found it. As he prepared to hit a voice came out of the ether and said "Please do not disturb the buttercups". He looked around saw no one and proceeded to swing. Of course he dinged a few flowers in the process. The voice came back to him in a loud clap of thunder and there stood mother nature. She scolded him saying "I told you not to disturb the buttercups, for your noncompliance, for the rest of your life you will not be able to eat or stand the taste of butter" Astonished he called to his golfing partner "John, John where are you" John replied, "I'm over here in the pussy-willows", whereas Bob shouted "On your life, don't swing, don't swing!"
