CONNACHER OIL & GAS (T-CLL) $3.34 +0.04
For much of the second half of 2005, the success story
of the year was the stock of Connacher Oil & Gas as it exploded
as oil flew and oil sands was the topic of the day.
They didn’t have as much joy for much of 2006, but as
work continues on the modular construction of their Pod
1 at the Great Divide project south of Fort McMurray, one
can see that they are getting much closer to actual production
dates sometime this summer.
On February 20th, something could occur that might
peak more people’s interest...an analyst tour organized by
Connacher featuring oil and gas bugs from everywhere
descends to take a look and we wonder if the concept of
snapping together engineering without facing the huge
problems of the massive camps, expense and constraints
of most tar sands plants isn’t found a little bit appealing
by a couple of the analysts, plus the potential for how
many more Pods. It just might peak some interest.
