June opening for Viethaus in Berlin A Vietnamese center, Viethaus, is set to open in the German capital of Berlin in June to facilitate trade, investment and tourism exchange between the two countries. The Southern Air Service Company (Sasco), the project owner, said Wednesday that the Viethaus in the heart of Berlin has been outfitted with the capacity to support business and cultural activities.
The project is to cost Sasco €5 million (US$6.47 million) without using the state coffers.
With total usable space of 4,500 sq.m, Viethaus is comprised of a trade-culture-tourism promotion section, a business center, a convention center, an office section, and a food and art center, said Nguyen Lanh, deputy director of Sasco.
Vietnamese companies seeking to penetrate the German and European markets can operate their offices at the center, or join forces with Viethaus to boost sales of their products on the German market.
Viethaus would be able to represent Vietnamese companies in launching trade and investment promotion activities in Germany.
Vietnam’s southern metro Ho Chi Minh City plans to cooperate with Viethaus to organize trade and cultural activities in Germany.
An estimated of 90,000 Vietnamese live in Germany. |
