Mustang Commences Prefeasibility Study at Maskwa Nickel Project

15, 2007) - Mustang Minerals Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MUM.V) today announced
that it has engaged Wardrop Engineering Inc. (Wardrop) to complete work
involved in completion of a prefeasibility study for the Maskwa Nickel
Project located approximately 140 km northeast of Winnipeg Manitoba. Key
components of the engagement are an updated resource estimation
incorporating the results of the current drill program, a geotechnical
program and an updated open pit mine design.
The NI 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment ("Scoping Study")
for Maskwa announced January 23, 2007 and completed by Micon International
outlined average annual nickel production of 10.4 million pounds of nickel
and 2.4 million pounds of copper from an open pit mining operation over a
nine year mine life. The initial capital cost of the project was estimated
at C$64.5 million. The project generated a projected NPV of C$90 million
using a 10% discount rate and US $7 pound nickel. Payback of capital was
estimated at 2 years. The Scoping Study for the Maskwa Property is now
posted online at www.sedar.com under the company filings (Technical Report)

Diggers South Pre Feasibility Study:
This is based on the revised Mineral Resource estimate and is expected to
be completed by May. The study incorporates positive results from recent
metallurgical test work and is reviewing access from the Digger Rocks
underground mine previously operated by Outokumpu. The pre feasibility
study is being conducted at a high technical standard to enable transition
into a full feasibility study. A decision to mine is expected later this
year

Independent Nickel Corp. (INI: TSX-V) has commenced the 20,000 meter drill
program at the Lynn Lake Nickel Mine Property.
Foraco Canada Ltd. recently delivered the first drill to the property and
has committed to deliver a second drill outfit to the property by late
March.
The drilling program is designed to test four large mineralized areas in
the mine environment. The Company's goal with the current program is to
complete the necessary work so that infill drilling can then move
underground.
First priority drill targets include:
- Drilling around the historic, near surface 'M' deposit where
historic
intercepts included up to 0.8% nickel, 0.5% copper over 14 feet;
- Testing of the 'Golf' mineralized zone and the highly conductive
body
above the known mineralization, which includes 75 feet grading
1.2% nickel, 0.5% copper and a separate intersection of 55 feet
grading 1.7% nickel and 0.6% copper;
- Testing of the 1,200 foot long 'Echo' zone, which extends from near
surface to below the 3,000 feet level and where historic intercepts
included 14.4 feet of mineralization grading 2.2% nickel; and
- Infill drilling of the Hotel target;
In addition to the diamond drilling being done at the mine property, the
Company is continuing with pre-feasibility level engineering studies and
establishing the permit requirements for the mine's dewatering and
reopening.

There are many interesting exploration projects underway in the near north
of Canada, but what makes Caribou so exciting is the sheer size and scale
of the targets. The intrusion is more than 9 kilometres long, and is
estimated to have a volume of more than 18 cubic kilometres, based on
surface mapping and geophysics. This is plenty big enough to produce a
discovery that could be comparable to the Voisey’s Bay nickel deposit in
Labrador. And while Caribou occurs in an area many think of as remote, the
property has direct deep water access to the port of Hay River, with road
and rail connections to a nickel smelter only 1100 kilometres away. At
current market prices, the economics of developing a large nickel deposit
that may be found on the property appear to be excellent. Phase II deep
drilling at Caribou is scheduled to commence in late January.
