The eve of peak oil has in my view been reached in Q1 2007.World wide demand has just been confirmed at 88 million brlspd by Opec in the next 12 months. We, as most know that the world is flat out on production, and were give a clear warning 2 yrs ago when gas lines formed in the UK,and shortages at gas stations in the US during driving season happened.Oil demand ebbs and flows and over time supply sometimes exceeds demand, followed by demand exceeding supply. This will not likely happen for much longer and the world could be on the brink of a never ending supply short fall. I have waited for 7 yrs while supply always enjoyed a 10 million brlpd cushion. The surplus oil has been in effect soaked up by world wide demand, and we may be seeing history made in the oil industry.Exxon, BP, and the oil majors have had their heads in the sand and have denied that any problem is present.I think their heads have been in the wrong sand, and will have to scramble for supplies.Once they admit the problem, they will stampede for oil sands,as it is now the most valuable land on earth.
