It provides a great podium for dictators with countless gallons of blood on their hands to throw stones at democracies, which, while sometimes failing, DO make an honest attempt to provide rights for their citizens. Your ancestral home, India, is the world's largest democracy. In spite of its economic problems, if I had to, I'd much rather live there than Saudi Arabia or NK. And it seems to be doing a good job of solving its economic problems and raising its citizen's standards of living. |
