You and Nadine are the thread necons and more or less unrepentant neocons at that. You have been making the same case for several years now. You cant really believe we are winning at this point. What i am trying to accompllsh with my call for what amounts to immediate withdrawl or timeline or following the wishes of the iraqi govt or three state or loose federation, is propose another path to the one you guys have laid down. I was an early supporter of the war. I began to change my mind the day i saw the ammo dumps unguarded and looting going on in bagdad. Then the war on the cheap by rummy began to worry me. Either Special forces alone or massive troop deployment both seemed like a better option. Now its too late for the latter. I suspect we can still play a role with special forces. I think thats where unclewest is headed and he was a huge supporter of the effort. I dont think our military capable of doing nation building in iraq at this point. I am skeptical of doing nation building ever again without some sort of international mandate and support.
