As a Texan transplanted to S. California and now Utah, I'd say I'm an expert in illegal migration. They've lived around me in great numbers in all three locations! I've also logged a lot of time in Mexico.

Put an Arab in western garb and he looks pretty Hispanic. Add a couple of stylistic touches like jeans, cowboy shirt, a big belt buckle and a straw cowboy hat and they look positively Mexican!

I've driven all over the western US, tens of thousands of miles. I don't recall any checkpoints or police asking for papers. I mostly camped in Ntnl Parks and on public land. No hotel registers or clerks asking for ID.

Do you think AQ'll be coming across in Lawrence of Arabia robes with Osama beards? I'm sure we do hassle all the harmless Muslims that haven't "gone western".
