If you were the PM of Pal and me the PM of Israel, we could settle this just as the artice you posted said. The joke is that its not rocket science to do this. Both sides are weary and most folks want peace. I truly believe that it was arafat getting cold feet the last time. I believe Abbas is more committed to peace than arafat was and I think now might be the time for Olmert to take a stab at it. Wild card is Hamas because any peace can be derailed by rocket or terror attacks. Israel should take the first step by announcing an end to settlement activity. Pals should be able to match that with a no terror, no rocket pledge. Then let the talks begin. Of course this is easier said than done.
