Michael,
Exactly where would you have us fight against our enemy, whether Al Qai'da, or it's affiliated Jihadist groups?
Yes, we're losing soldiers in Iraq fighting against the Jihadist forces there. But the Jihadists are ALSO losing because they have alienated the very demographic factions they depended upon to provide them sanctuary. They have been forced to resort to terrorizing these support groups in order to dominate and control them. And it hasn't worked.. They've, instead, managed to alienate their greatest supporter, Harith Al-Dari, and led him to denouncing Al Qai'da and Ayman Al-Zawahiri (who I believe is actually in control of AQ).
And Michael, we're still losing soldiers in Afghanistan as well. And that country can hardly be classified as any kind of tremendous success, as Taliban forces still cross the border and terrorize Afghanis.
Maybe I just don't understand your position. Are you saying that the only place we can wage our wage against Jihadism is on US soil? Is American soil the only place where you will accept the lose of thousands of lives in this war?
