What does the 35 years under Saddam have to do with the flaming hatred of many of the current generation of Iraqi children watching the Americans who are directly responsible for the violent deaths of so many family members?

What about the current generation of Iraqi children who are seeing their parents blown up at the markets, and in their mosques?

What about the family who was attacked by Al Qai'da terrorists while attending the funeral of one of the leaders of the anti-Al Qai'da tribes in the Anbar province??

Listen pal.. this goes BOTH WAYS!! Why the hell do you think the Anbar tribes are rebelling against Al Qai'da in the first place?? First off, Al Qai'da violated the rules under which they were offered safe haven amongst the tribes. They attempted to subvert and dominate the traditional tribal leadership structure there.

Secondly, when these tribal shayhks balked at having Islamic republics created on their territory and having to subordinate themselves to foreigners, or powerful local clerics, they fought back.

Thirdly, when it was reported that tremendous amounts of oil could be located within their tribal areas, they knew that only Western technology could exploit this tremendous new source of economic wealth and tribal empowerment.

So while you're wondering about how many Iraqis are going have vendettas against Americans, you should be focusing a bit more attention on the all the enemies the Jihadists are creating in Iraq.
