Hispanic migrants in the US : Interesting episode I went thru today. I am expecting some guests for the weekend, so I called up a cleaning service company to get my apartment cleaned. The folks that showed up were Hispanic migrants - but they do a decent job of communications - one of them is fluent in English, the other does not know it at all (apart from saying 'I do not know English'). Anyway, they were doing a great job, and at some stage I asked them how much they got paid by their company. The answer was $10/hour. Now I paid the company $35/hour/person. No wonder employers will not give up this gravy train.
