When I have emailed management on this issue, I have been told that it is a rising tide that will raise all boats. Many companies wouldn't consider Simtek nvsram products because of the single supplier issue(zmd was another supplier but many may not have felt that they were a true second source). With Cypress, they open the doors to many more markets than just Simtek could get into alone. I don't think Simtek would have gotten that eetimes china award on its own. It did get it with Cypress. If memory serves me, I also remember somebody saying that Cypress should be able to help with the really large orders, the ones that Simtek wasn't getting anyway and that they should be able to fill them together. We will have to wait and see but so far, new managements ideas seem to have been good so I will trust them on this issue.

When people talk about issues related to Cypress, I look at the old Cypress deal and wonder how good it really was for Simtek. They would have had to have known that they would need a ton of cash based on the way the numbers were running but they diluted significantly but kept most of the cash as restricted. And for that, Cypress got a significant chunk of the company, I think hoping that the company would run into more trouble so they could take it over lock, stock and barrel. I think HB but a kink in those plans. JMO though. It will be interesting to see how the whole things plays out.
