Interesting that he refers to 56 apostate Muslim nations. So al Qaeda thinks there isn't one non-apostate Muslim government anywhere?

Yep.. Which really is indicative of the "zero-sum" agenda pervading the Islamic militant movement. It's all or nothing for them. Any attempt by the US to support, or befriend, one of those 56 nations is an act of war in the eyes of Al Qai'da.

Essentially, the demand is that we have no contacts with any Muslim nation that hasn't been "Talibanized", on pain of risking future attacks from the Jihadists trying to re-create their Caliph.

Thus, the whole concept of "fencing them off and letting them fight amongst one another" (as some here have proposed) isn't going to work. So long as we have ANY involvement with a Muslim country, we're technically "at war" with the kind of people who are indoctrinating their followers with this kind of intolerant worldview.

Which is why I thought his "speech" was so interesting.. "Azzam the American" is a product of his indoctrination by the leaders of Al Qai'da. He is the English voice translating the agenda and vision of Al Qai'da and it's members. And he knows how to articulately relate that message.

And he's saying that Al Qai'da has the right to overthrow the governments of those 56 "apostate Muslim nations" and make them part of their Caliphate. And if the US gets involved in any manner, we're a target.

The best way for people to understand this is to imagine if Hitler was saying the same thing about Europe and all people who derive from Anglo-Saxon heritage.

We should all pay attention.
