Saddam was clear too but he misled us about wmd. Either his hubris or false internal intel on his side led to the invasion. Ahamadijad doesnt run iran, the ayotolla does. But ahmadijad is very clear with his provocative words and deeds (the holocaust denial conference). Certainly he alone cant act on his threats so i agree that focusing on his words alone can lead you down the wrong path. But once thing we have learned about the ayotollahs over the years is their willingness to use terrorist tactics when it suits them. Iran with a nuke can hold em, use em, or pass them off to terrorist groups like hizbolla or even to al quaeda if their use of nukes meets the enemy of my enemy test. Thats why we cant accept nukes being acquired by this currrent iranian regime.
