Deere buys China company Friday June 8, 10:14 am ET Deere & Co., which has 1,000 Triangle employees, said Friday that it will expand its business in China. The Illinois company will acquire Ningbo Benye Tractor & Automobile Manufacture Co., a southern-China manufacturer. The acquisition will enable the company to sell small, low-horsepower tractors in addition to the beefier machines it now sells in China, Deere said. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
