There has to be other ways to protect ourselves without getting into the gutter with these folks. Look at the Israelis. They just pulled out of gaza for the same reason. Have things gotten better for them? Probably not. Have they gotten worse, nope. If these dudes want to kill each other, we shouldnt be in the middle. Our presence in some ways does more harm than good like israel in gaza. Maybe they need an outcome. TF says today that al quaeda has lost in iraq. Thats not because of us but because al quaeda has proved to be nihilist. Friedman points to the day last year when they blew up a funeral procession. How low can you go.
