Wheat $5.00 >>> $7.50 means loaf of bread up 2 cents (actually -- 2.5 cents) ....................... I am basing this off of something I heard on CNBC a few months ago. A CBOT floor trader commented that all of this talk about higher food prices / grains "going through the roof" / etc. is just plain ridiculous. (I agree whole-heartedly). He said that there is (was) about 5 cents worth of wheat in one loaf of bread (at that time). Jon.
