If the oil companies can't make money selling oil from oil sands then the price of oil is still too low. Saying that the government, the environment, and the infrastructure should take it on the chin so that XOM shareholders can make more money and Americans can keep driving gas guzzlers cheaply is plain dumb and selfish. IMO. I'll bet that the bitchin is coming from the same folks that want the Government to BUY with money, helicopters, gunships , etc., to go fight phony wars.
