Wow

You seem to be quite the expert on things around here. Looking at your profile I am going to assume you live south of the 49th.
It is tough to argue with someone with your depth of knowledge.....but that post is so far out there I think I will take a stab at a retort.

The boiling in bitumen is certainly an ingenious way to deal with an appointed public board you disagree with.

Industry has certainly done a lot of work in developing the resource however the prov./fed. gov't's has also been involved for decades. I am betting long before you were aware of the "tar sands". Here is a couple of examples.

Not a real area of interest for me but I am wondering how this went up in Alaska - the Alaska Fair Share bill?

Were you pounding the table on that one Mr. Freedom For All??
What are they? Alaskanitas? Maybe Alberta should approach the socialist fiends up there and see if they want to hook up with us.

No one got jailed the last time the royalty agreement was adjusted here in 1997.

Scheduled for completion in October, 2007, the $493 million Anthony Henday Drive South East Ring Road project is the first Private-Public-Partnership (P3) roadway of its kind in Alberta.

Does this meet your stringent filters for project management?

I get the feeling a lot of you Americans didn't do your dd and weren't aware of the fact the bulk of the oil & gas resources in Alberta belong to the people and hence are managed by the gov't. Different from how you folks do things done there I take it but its our playground. You want to play up here better learn the rules. Guys who throw tantrums usually get laughed off the ice.
