Markets are down, but all is not lost. I won a Pro Football pick'em contest with a radio station from the Twin Cities. I live in Iowa but travel up north quite a bit. It was a 17 week regular week contest. The grand prize is flight and hotel to Las Vegas for 3 nights ( for 2). Better take my wife. I have had good luck in picking pro games this year. Finished 9th in the USA Today contest. No prize. I was down the line in the Sports Illustrated contest but I forgot to pick week 2. If I had made the picks based on what I picked for the other contest, I would have won the whole thing. Prize was 7 day/ 6 night trip and stay in the Bahamas. Messed up. Probably too long to stay anyway. Might as well keep the story going. I am still alive in the Minneapolis Star Tribune contest going into the playoffs. I am leading the local contest and tied for 2nd in the national contest. I am one win behind the leader. Btw, went to the caucus last night. Can't believe Huckabee did so well.
