The "sentimentrader" posted his own study about what happens when SP reaches a 52 week low and then reverses and rallies 3% or more in a day. There were 5 cases in 20 years, and each time 2 weeks later the markets were higher. But I can see that in some of those cases the rally eventually failed (the last one that did not fail was in Oct 2002).

It's probably a bad time to short the markets -- but, quite likely, also a bad time to bet on the resumption of the Big Bull.
