THAI does produce rather than use water according to the description of the process in the PBG site. THAI pumps air into the ground to ignite the bitumen. Bitumen in the ground is mixed in with water. Hot bitumen and water flows out, and the water is separated from the bitumen and can be used for various purposes. PBG claims the resulting water is pretty clean.

Do you think PBG is lying?
