Poison pills can only be used in very specific circumstances. And no, the CLL shareholders cannot really band together to reject a buyout.

CLL has financed it's expansion via dilution, so now they have some 130M plus shares outstanding. A company could come along today and offer $4 or $5 and take it. The only thing that could prevent that is a bidding war. Based on the daily volume of shares traded, most holders today own this stock under $4 so an offer at that or just above it would be fine with them - regardless of the foot stomping done by a few about what the 'value' is. Because of the dilution, the value is what the market will bear.
