I appreciate what it being said there, i.e. "the produced water has been of very high quality, with clean oil/water segregation and minimal emulsion to process. Analysis of the produced water indicates that it will, with minor further processing, be suitable for other industrial uses"

Unfortunately that really just serves to confirm to me that this aspect of the proving up of the technology's viability has been set aside as a minor detail to presumably be dealt with later -- okay, fair enough, but that's been my concern from the beginning (i.e. so-called minor details turning out later to be not so minor)

OTOH -- and this is more important -- I'm interpreting what else was said as suggesting that the effluent is or could be effectively treated using a conventional separator, and furthermore, that none of what would be deemed process wastewater is going to be discharged back into the environment anyway (i.e. it will be recaptured 100% and either re-used to generate additional steam or sold to third parties, at which point it becomes the third party's problem) -- but that wasn't the impression I got from reading this post when this topic first got going -- Message 24465710

So if in fact PBG does (or ultimately will) recapture these fluids and handle them as suggested rather than just dump them in a retention pond somewhere, then perhaps all will be well
