VIX -- the action since April 18 may well be a consolidation on the way down. There are some short term "bullish" divergences, that's true, but there is nothing imminent that I could see. You were correct on the vix. If I hadn't asked you I might been fooled by the divergences. It has happened before. Question: XOM closed the end of April at about 93, close to an all time high. Opened today at 90.10, first day of the month. Significant or not? Or we may not know for sometime? It is quite an opening gap for a new month.
