The old man was on his deathbed with his wife of 40 years on his side. With his last ounce of strength he said to her:

"I know that you did not marry me for my money because you stood by me when my business went bankrupt. You remained loyal when our house was foreclosed since I was laid off from my job. You were there when we were evicted from the apartment, and you take care of me when I got this cancer ..."

The wife had tears on her eyes, appreciated her husband's words and she told him that she loved him.

Then, the old man uttered his last words: "You have always brought nothing but bad luck to my life ..."
